Tarashankar Bandyopadhyay was born on 23 July 1898 at Labhpur in Birbhum. His father name was Haridas Bandyopadhyay and mother name Prabhavati Devi. He passed the Matriculation examination on 1916 and took admission in IA at St Xavier's College, Calcutta. He was imprisoned for one year on 1930 for political reason and that was the end of his study. He died on 1971, 14 September.
